A quaint pond in New York provides the setting for this groundbreaking house as a model of effectiveness and innovation in larger residential construction. The house is the embodiment of a vision of a better way to build, a better way to live and a better way of being a steward of the environment. The vision of this house is to be instructive to subsequent generations that will inhabit it and provide a pathway for others to emulate.

The house and landscape were conceived and function to improve the existing ecosystem. The process from project onset to completion interconnected and implemented emerging principles in design, construction and building performance. These efforts were recognized when the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) awarded it their highest certification.
