  • John A. Bartolotti, AIA, NCARB Partner

    John A. Bartolotti is a Registered Architect and partner with Dalpos Architects, LLC. He has been practicing Architecture in excess of 23 years. Early in his career John began utilizing the latest technologies to develop strategic applications for emerging technologies and resources. Over the past decade at Dalpos, John has managed large projects with complex and demanding schedules and objectives which have driven the need for integrated design solutions. Most recently has has been pioneering a holistic restructuring of Dalpos' design process to embrace Building Information Modeling (BIM) and leverage its advantages throughout the entire design, construction and operation cycle.

    A strong focused commitment to project administration and attention to detail is what Jim has built his reputation on. Analytical by nature, Jim has the ability to methodically appoach any project, issue or challenge and develop a creative yet highly functional, well detailed solution. That refined skill combined with his innate talent to explain in simple terms how details go together, makes Jim a respected teacher and mentor in the office to aspiring architects, project managers, job captains and analysts. Starting at Dalpos as a project architect over twenty years ago, Jim has worked his way "up through the ranks" so he intimately knows how to effectively guide and train those at various levels and positions within the firm.

    Cultivating talent, helping individuals develop their skills and developing the Dalpos team is why Jim heads the Human Capital component of the firm. He leads by example with his dedications and diligent work ethic; always emphasizing the importance of learning and building on the basics to become a great architect.

    In addition to being licensed in 12 states and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Jim's vast experience covers a wide range of project type, size, scope and location.

  • Taras J. Pawliw, AIA, NCARB Partner

    The basis for Dalpos quality control management, which is a top-down/bottom-up approach that involves everyone on the prject team, begins and ends at the partner level. Taras works closely with project teams to ensure that projects are properly staffed and technologically supported throughout the project timeline. Quality control begins with putting together the right people for the job, defining the level of technology required and following through with adequate support to ultiumately provide a highly successful deliverable for the client. Assembling a prime team along with leveraging technology for maximum value on a project are essential elements of quality control at Dalpos.

    Over thirty years of project and staff management gives Taras a keen ability to keep production on track, strategically adjusting to meet whatever challenges may occur. He knows how to tap the strengths of the Dalpos staff through the many phases critical to each assignment. Taras oversees and co-ordinates IT development and support within the firm to keep projects as well as staff running at an optimal levels.

    Taras is a member of the New York State Building Officials Conference, Inc. and proudly server in the United States Army.

  • John A. Ceresoli, AIA, NCARB Principal

    With a concentration in healthcare design, John has over 25 years experience in the field of architecture. His vast body of work in healthcare design encompasses both acute care and long term care projects ranging from feasability studies to large campus wide facilities. At Dalpos, John oversees and directs the healthcare division, has a major role in firm marketing and business development and is actively engaged in overall firm planning and management.

    John received a Masters of Architecture degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is licensed in several states. He is a member of the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.

  • James R. Knittel, AIA, LEED® AP, NCARB Principal

    Jim has an extensive range of experience in both architecture and construction, not only from the role of an architect, but also from the position of the owner/developer. Serving in different capacities has enabled Jim to develop a broader understanding of the various needs and requirements each project participant may have. This unique perspective gives Jim the advantage of intimately knowing how to create a successful project for all concerned.

    Jim's expertise includes project design and management in retail development, office building design, space planning and renovations. At Dalpos, Jim's positive attitude and leadership abilities are clearly evidenced in his willingness to mentor others. His philosophy is to focus on "what is right" and to build on strengths rather than dwell on the negative.

  • Joseph R. Piraino, AIA Principal

    Joseph Piraino is a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo and is a NYS Registered Architect with over 20 years of experience. Has has designed and managed many different project types ranging from single family residences, K-12 schools, churches, institutional and higher education buildings to parking garages, retail stores and regional shopping centers. While a seasoned project architect, Joe's true talents are problem solving and client relationships. Business and client development along with maintaining and managing the "project pipeline" are key aspects of Joe's role as an associate and crucial to the continued success and growth of Dalpos.

    Joe has been an active member of the American Institute of Architects since 1995 and served as Central New York chapter President in 2008.
